One of the fun parts to planning a wedding is choosing the wedding colors. However, this can be a daunting task. You want to be true to yourself and your passions, but you also don’t want that, “Oh my goodness. What were they thinking?” reaction from your guests.
The holidays are right around the corner and this month, I thought it would be fun to focus on winter weddings and engagement photos! Whether you’re doing a traditional winter wedding or jazzing it up a bit with a non-traditional look, hopefully this image-intensive post will give you lots of great ideas for your upcoming Indy winter wedding!
Instead of breaking the bank to have the dream wedding you've always wanted, have your cake and eat it too (see #7)!
Last week we went through the different wedding dress silhouettes and showed you examples so you can find your perfect weddings dress. However, there are many different types of dress necklines that you can choose from as well. You can pick your favorite depending on what you would like to accent and what works well for you.
In the first installment of Etiquette with Emily, we discussed the proper ways in which to announce the best news ever, your engagement, to all your loved loves, relatives, and those who you interact with on social media and in the workplace.
This week we are addressing the center of attention in all of this; your engagement ring! Whether you picked it out yourself or were completely surprised by the design, we here to give a little basic information about that sparkler on your left ring finger!
Earlier this week, we shared with you the basics of wedding dress silhouettes and which might be best for your body type, but what do some of those dresses look like? Here are some of our favorite examples!
It's wedding planning time. You got the guy, now you've got to get the dress. You know you want it to be white (maybe)...but what else? What's the next step? Let us help.
I admit; I read too much Dear Abby and Emily Post. This is both a good and bad thing. Bad thing? I think Abby is wrong half the time, but that may be the age difference. The good thing? I learn a new set of rules of etiquette every once and while that seems to be fair to all parties involved in a tough situation. This current obsession of mine got me to thinking, “What do brides need to know?” Whether it is the way you should word your invitation, ceremony planning options, or the basics of getting to know your gorgeous engagement ring. There seems to be something new to be learned. That’s why we’re starting our new series Etiquette with Emily! We’ll be covering many of the subjects covered in Emily Post’s Wedding Etiquette by Anna and Lizzie Post. I do encourage you to definitely reach out to us in regards to what we’ll be sharing with you and other topics we could possibly cover!
In light of the amazing Halloween everyone (hopefully) just had, here are some ideas you can use to make a Halloween-themed wedding scary boo-tiful! (Pun FULLY intended.)

The bridal party and groomsmen are not only the foundation of your mental and emotional stability during the wedding planning process, but are critical in the success of your wedding in general. That's a lot of stress to place on your closest friends and/or family! They deserve some great, heartfelt gifts for all their hard work.
Sure, having wedding planners and wedding decorators do all the work takes a lot of stress off you as a bride, but weddings need some personal touches here and there! It is YOUR day after all, not theirs! Make this adorable sign and greet your guests with your personal creative sparkle.
Here we are heading into fall! Weather is definitely cooler, mums are out, pumpkin spice lattes have arrived at Starbucks and fall décor has invaded window shops….it’s my favorite time of the year! 2Bs, hope you too, are enjoying these early fall days.
My last post we talked about making your guy look sharp on his wedding day. Well, we’re also going to talk guys today. I am currently working with the sweetest bride as we plan her May wedding. She inspired today’s post since she is surprising her fiancé with a cigar bar….how cool is that?! Sometimes the groom gets forgotten with everything we everything bride focused, so what a sweet way of making your groom feel special. Now here’s the thing, even if your groom is not into cigars, you can do a Scotch bar, Whiskey Bar, Coffee Bar or anything else that he especially loves. Whatever you decide, the key is creating a bar that’s about something your fiancé loves and making it look great.
To veil or not to veil...that is the question. Alongside this debatable idea comes a multitude of others that you are bound to embark on as a planning Bride2B. If you’re a detail oriented bride, these things matter! You also have probably made it a point to hone in on various other miniscule details which drives your fiance insane, but scores you extra brownie points with his like-minded, far too involved for your liking, helicopter-mother.
