The Modern Farm Wedding
Married on
Jennifer & Josh

Farm wedding as all the rage right now but this couple got married on a farm when the trend was just starting back in 2011. This lovely couple – Jennifer and Josh – take the cake for a spectacular farmhouse wedding. This wedding looks simple, but the details at this wedding where over the top - perfect. What I love most about the wedding is that everything had meaning to this couple. The wedding took place on this couple’s family farm (sorry, you can’t get married here this is a private residence).

The theme was fall farm wedding. The wedding used various fall colors such as gold, plum, apple red and paprika. The bride and her family took great pride in all the details for this wedding. Guests entered the ceremony through a handmade arch of branches constructed by friends of the family. Guests sat on bales of straw adorned with quilts that were stitched by the bride’s great grandmother. The couple was married under another beautiful arch of branches. And the bride wore her great grandmother's ruby bridal set on her right hand.

The bride’s favorite detail was the isle runner. The runner was a surprise to the groom and had

the International Harvester (construction equipment company) to logo on it. The bride was able to make the runner herself. The bride also made her on bouquet out of antique brooches. She searched antique stores for months before her wedding in order to gather enough broaches to make her beautiful bouquet. The bride picked pumpkins and gourds and put name tags on them for the seating cards. That is a lot of DIY wedding details which made for one beautiful wedding!

The couple had a gorgeous day for their nuptials which provided for gorgeous pictures and memories!
