Wedding Wednesday: The outline of giving a speech

Speech, Speech, Speech!

I am in a wedding in May, I get to give a speech and I am already thinking of what to say! So, I wanted to share a few tips & tricks to keep the speech, short, sincere & entertaining for the guests.

A few tips

• Keep the speech 2-3 min long (no one wants to hear a rant)

• Open the speech by thanking the parents for hosting the wedding

• Talk about both the bride and groom

  • If your the bridesmaid, start with talking about the bride, then the groom & vise versa if your groomsmen!

• Share a story or a memory that you have of them individually or together

• End with best wishes for the couple! Don’t forget to cheers!
